Reiki is a gentle, energy-based therapy that originated in Japan. It's based on the idea that energy flows through and around us, supporting our well-being. When this energy is flowing freely, we feel balanced and at ease. But when life's stresses, illnesses or emotional challenges disrupt that flow, we can feel out of sync - physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Reiki works by encouraging deep relaxation, allowing your body and mind the space they need to restore balance. While it's not a substitute for medical care, many people find Reiki a helpful complementary therapy to ease stress, tension and feelings of overwhelm.

Because Reiki works gently, there are no specific expectations - it simply offers a space for you to pause, rest and receive whatever your body and mind need in that moment.
During a Reiki session, you'll remain fully clothed while lying down or sitting comfortably. I will place my hands lightly on or just above different areas of your body, allowing the Reiki energy to flow to where it's needed. There is no massage or manipulation - just a calm, supportive space where your body can deeply relax and do what it naturally knows how to do: restore and rebalance.
Sessions typically last around an hour, and all you need to do is relax and allow yourself to receive.
If you'd like, you can also add 30 minutes of Reiki to any reflexology or Indian head massage session. Combining treatments in this way can enhance the effects of your reflexology or massage, promoting an even deeper sense of relaxation and balance. It's a lovely way to extend your treatment and give yourself a little extra time to unwind.
Everyone's experience is unique - you may find yourself drifting into a deeply restful state, you may feel sensations of warmth, cold, tingling, or sense of calm, stillness and rest.
Again, everyone's experience of Reiki is different. Some people feel lighter, clearer, more relaxed or at ease in the days following the session, whilst others might notice subtle shifts in their energy levels or emotions.
